APN Outdoor Crowns its Pixel361° Winners
AUCKLAND: At a capacity filled Seafarers in Auckland, APN Outdoor, in conjunction with its charity partner Child Cancer Foundation, crowned Kat Tadaki and Kieran Beck from DDB as the 2016 APN Outdoor Pixel361° winners.
From 16 team entries, their campaign ‘Fighting Spirit’ won the hearts and minds of the judges – both for use of the media as well as delivering a message that resonated with the individuals.
Mike Watkins, GM of APN Outdoor NZ commented “We were thrilled by the agency engagement to create a campaign that helps such a worthy cause. The judging process was hard but Kat and Kieran’s campaign jumped out and struck a chord with all of the judges. Emotive, campaignable and a great use of our digital media”.
Robyn Kiddle, Chief Executive, Child Cancer Foundation, said: “For us, what made the winning idea stand out was how honest it was about the reality of a child cancer diagnosis. It touches on the challenging and private thoughts and emotions of the child, their parents and siblings, which are often not talked about. We are excited to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and creative team.”
As winners, Kat and Kieran’s campaign will be brought to life for Child Cancer Foundation‘s annual fund raising campaign in March 2017. APN Outdoor is supporting the creative with $100,000 of outdoor media to drive the creative campaign. In addition Kat and Kieran will be winging their way to the 2017 SXSW conference courtesy of APN Outdoor.
